Friends, Family and Pike Report. (pics)

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Amasing pictures, how far from the ocean do those seals travel? Do they actually catch pike?

Take off EH!!!
Officially turned them down today WB. It was yesterday on the river and not seeing another boat for close to 8 hours and catching tonnes of fish on a thursday afternoon I got pushed off the fence and landed on the side with the greener pasture. I got about 20 more months maybe up here and my fishing in this playground just keeps getting more easy for me and more fun.

Rig the seals travel about 20-25km in from the bay up the river. Where the tidemark ends is about as far as they go. They come in the fall in greater numbers to chase the big runs of whitefish, but, they also munch heavily on eyes and a few troots. They don't school and migrate much. Where I took the pics of those seals was about 10 km away from where decent pike fishing begins.

6 feet of ice Mark. No problem, the FinboreIII hand auger got some new blades on it this fall, but by March I'll be betting I own my buddies 10" gas Jiffy. 8) Kesagami anyone??? :D

Thanks ya'll. Love showing off them seals and pikes. 8)
