going trouting.

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

From what I know there are only browns and bows. You can fish from the CNR tracks down to the lake all year.

Browns are fall spawners, but they cannot successfully spawn in most lakes because they need streams for spawning. Troll or cast for them as they congregate near points.Few people pursue rainbows in the fall, but good fishing is possible. Bottom-fish with an inflated nightcrawler. Cast or troll with small lures or flies along shorelines.

Wow, talk about crowded fishing, I wonder how successful they could be with that many people standing so close together.

And what happens when one guy gets a good one that takes a few runs?

He/she yells "FISH!" and those who understand english get their lines in so as not to tangle. The others just keep on trying to snag the biggest dying chinnook they can.

Yep, the Ganny is not a pretty sight in the fall!! It's really too bad. My dad has told me stories of many years ago, being able to see tons of rainbows running in the late fall/winter.. almost so thick you could walk on them. :(

The sad part is, it wasn't really that long ago.

1st off BBR, the "Ganny" is closed from the CN tracks to L-O after Sept 30th.

That aint what your Ol man saw not long ago, At the Ganny anyway!!

There is a stretch, bout 100yrds that is legal to fish to L-O @ the Ganny till the last Sat in april.

Now, Don, buzz me @ (613) 797-3726 if you can, I'd post all details, but I'm @ Roxy's work right now and I'll be out of a pc till Fri because of our move into the new house over the weekend.

Sorry to clarify my last post.........

You can enjoy watching the fish in closed rivers, or sections, so it is possible to see big #'s of fish, but BBR's pic was not this time of year on the Ganny in any recent year.

I'd guess that pic is opening day in the spring.

Just another example of internet fish tales and bs distorting facts and creating misconceptions.
