The people at LeBarons were also telling anyone who was buying a conservation that they cannot target musky. I thought this strange but shrugged it off because I have the sportsman and my friend who was buying the licence certainly would not target musky so I never questioned it.
I agree with RJ the return on the cost of the licence should speak for itself. I think keeping the 2 seperate levels is a must becuase some friends of mine only fish and handfull of times a year and might give it up if forced to shell out the extra cash and buy the sportsman.
This is a great thread, people will learn from this and that's what fish-hawk is all about.
I went to LB's to upgrade my conservation license to a sport one because I was going to target musky. The lady there told me I didn't have to do that because I could still target and not keep. I said I'd upgrade anyway just to be safe.
Guess what, you can't just upgrade, at least not at LB's, you have to buy a whole new license. No big deal though, because they're cheap.

You can just upgrade to the Sport License....just have to do it at the MNR office is all....which is a pain in the.......
I can appreciate the conservation card.Mrs. Crash doesnt go out as much as I do. My sisters get out a couple times a year on the hard water. So the lower cost is a little benificial. It aalso cuts down on me having to clean thier catch.
