IT would be fun and nice to see where will be the

first secure ice for fishing will show up,,,,,,,,?

and if people did try it,,,,,,,,,and caught anything,,,,,,,,?

I would like to do a first ice fishing map like other ice fishing site,,,

guys,,,,,,the ontario power sation betwen ottawa and hull open more then 3/4 off there doors(gates)at the dam,,,so the water level will go up,,,and dont no how its gone to effect ice :? :x :o ....

there to mutch water behind the dams here....

so they have to open the gates ,,,,to let water go down,,,,,so there will be a rise off the level down the dam,,,mabe a foot or more :?: on the ottawa river,,,, :?

I got fishable ice and have had for a bit but this snow is making it tough to get out . Not all lakes but smaller ones . :D

Hey Joco if the ice is ready maybe thsi w-e we could go. let me know because if the ice is not ready probably this w-e i will go on the river with the boat . it's crying evry morning when i leave for workl to go out :lol:

Ahh the old whacking ice with a stick ice thickness test. Also knows as the WIWS-ITT... :lol: 8)

I can just picture it now... Mind you, Iceman tried that with my TWO oars in the boat, and the 1 inch of ice got the better on my oars... Anyone have some good, cheap ores for sale? :oops: ... so I'm not convinced about this test...

The ice is only about an inch thick in front of my place. I broke through and waded out a bit. The level is a bit high here.

Yeap, talked to Bradford and Bucketmouth this morning just as they were coming of the ice, should be out by the week-end now:D
