I had convinced myself that I was due for one last trip to Quinte for a day. After watching weather forecasts and planning around my schedule today was the day. On the road at 5:30am, quick stop for timmy's and fuel. I had to pick up my fishing partner for the day in Westport and onward to Quinte.

Forecasts of 0 wind and a high of -2, things were looking good..too good. I hadn't planned on the 0 wind overnight freezing up everything in sight when we got to Glenora
Large chunks of frozen ice 2 feet x 2 feet frozen into tha launch and no open water in sight

Next plan was to go back accross the ferry and give the launch at Adulphustown a crack as I remembered seeing there was open water there on the way up.
Fortunately the launch was extremly shallow but no ice in sight

We launched with no problems and were off. set out 2 boards and 2 long lines. First board went off within 5 minutes but we never got a look at the fish. 10 minutes later same thing.
Trolled for an hour and long line goes off, when he's reeling that in, a board goes off and I grab it. we ended up with Jim's fat 25 inch walleye and my biggest rainbow ever... 25 inches long and a 17 inch girth

Trolled until about 3:30 and called it a day. Final totals were we went 6 for 10 and the bonus rainbow
walleye were 24", 25", 26.5", 28"(8 lb), 30"(10.5 lb) and a fat 31 incher that tipped the scales at 12.4 ounces.

Here is the largest one for the day

Same fish with Jim holding it

a great day out...possibly gonna find time to get down one more time next week
