About 2:30 this afternoon dad said we were going for bluegills. We went out to Valens Conservation area which is only 15 mins. from home. I was using the hut but was having a hard time getting any bites. Dad caught two small bluegills. We changed spots about 4 pm and I couldnt get any bluegills. But I did get 12 of these.
I was using a blue and silver hailie jig tipped with red maggots.

Jonathan,
Tyler, Shane and I just read your report. A dozen crappies! NICE!
I like the way you and the crappie match each other in colors! Wild!
You're making your Dad proud (but also perhaps feel a little insecure).
W.
Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

You look like you are having loads of fun fishing.

Nice job! I live real close to valens, yet I've never ice fished there. Maybe it's time I give it a try.
