leak

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

leak

Post by tim_pinnell »

Need your help guys and gals. I have an older 22 foot Starcraft that has a leak at the seam by the transom. Some of the silicone came off when I was powerwashing it. My question is what should I use to repair it. I think it was silicone that was on it before. Just a section about 4 inches long came off the section. Should I clean and replace the entire section or just patch the spot that is missing the sealant. Tim

Tim,

I'm for sure clueless about patching such a leak, but I am bumping this thread up, because I think it was missed. I, for one, just noticed it this evening. Hope someone can help you out.

Best of luck with the repairs.

W.

Thanks a ton wolfe. Off topic but nice pic of the wolf. My son and I are both wolf fanatics. Me with a tatoo and his bedroom walls and counter tops plastered with photos. Tim

hey, Tim. Yeah, they're cool animals for sure, not just to look at, but also their social complexities & physical strength/endurance; I should be in such good shape  .

Anyway, there's got to be someone here who knows a thing or two about patching a boat, right folks?
