This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

My Personal Best - Lake Trout

Post by FatRap »

Nice Lake Trout, caught in the Bancroft area.

5.25 Lbs, 24" long and 14" girth. Great excitement for all 5 Hawkers present,( FatRap, Dmo, PoozyMo, JBird, Mick) plus one maybe soon to be hawker.

edited to enlarge the pic.

Awesome weekend boys.....Once Stumpy Heaver catches a fish we can officially give him his F-H hat. Those Saskatchewan boys, nice equipment and a 69 stamp box, but no fish. ha ha

Good also to Mick for his biggest head/skinniest body Pike I've ever seen.
Great technique as well. Line snap, hand goes in hole and pulls out a Pike.

Nice fish man! 8)
There are few problems in life which can not be solved with a well-placed, high-explosive projectile.

Pretty fish; looks almost metallic in the pic.

Congrats on the PB.

Nice fish. I keep saying that I want to catch some lake trout, but I guess they don't like me very much. Probably because I mostly fish in the summer, and don't like to troll too often.

Thanks to all who have had a peek and left comments. Still some doubt from the oldtimers that actually live on the lake, as they have not seen any Lakers come out in 2 years. They last saw a 2lb'er and very few before that. I will have to try this lake again in the summer for sure.
