whitch species off fish is your favorite to catch.....

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Tuff one...I like to fish for Walleye,Smallmouth & Lake trout.

I really like eating walleye :) but since you asked what my favorite to catch is, it's hard to beat the fight that a smallmouth gives you

Bass have always been where it's at. All other warm water species are incidentals for me. Unless it's on ice, where 'eyes and crappies are my target species.

Here's my favorites fish to chase with the flyrod in order
cutthroat trout, rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, crappie, pike.

Not at all a fan of weak fighting fish like perch, walleye.

Gonna target some new fish in 2006 like salmon, steelhead, garpike, musky and carp.

Great topic Joco! It's always interesting to see what other anglers like to fish for.

I've always liked the smallmouth for their spirited battle, acrobatics and overall toughness. They can be challenging too at certain times of the year. I also like the fact that they can be anywhere in the water column on any given day, giving you the oppertunity to let them see lot's of different presentations.

I also like finding patterns for Crappie when they're not stacked up and guys are fishing them shoulder to shoulder.
If Winnipeg gets a hockey team, Toronto will want one too.....

In my case it's the finding more than the catching but the target is always the elusive walleye.
