Constance Lake Wolfe Howl!!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Constance Lake Wolfe Pack

Post by Braeside »

A heart felt thanks to WIG, Bowzog, and all those who were at Constance Lake on Sunday. This was my first in-person encounter with 99% of the folks there, and am certainly looking forward to the next event. Special thanks to WIG for his gas-auger...otherwise it would have been a bit of time before I dipped a line in the water.. Great pics too!

WIG, there should have been a prize for the most common first name. I believe there were 3 of us Brian's there, possibly a 4th.

Cheers to all.

*Sigh* really wanted to make this one. Looks like you guys had a great time! (A better time then I was having undoubtedly). Was really looking forward to meeting a bunch of hawkers, esp. the long travelled Wolfe pack. Next time, unforseen commitments be damned!

Here are some of the pics I took. Sorry, we don't have that many as the cameras (batteries) would freeze up.

Can't tell if the blurriness of this one is due to the photographer or a frozen camera.....

Bowzog and I stayed until around 7pm. The perch were abundant for a while then shut right off. I also lost another large pike on my panfish popper rod/Genz bug/butterworm combination. The thing peeled line out a couple of times as it would get closer to the hole. I had its head in the hole when the tiny Genz bug let go. NEXT TIME!!!!

We had a great time! Thanks to everyone who showed up, brought food and friends! I'm sure the poor perch are still talking about the gang!

Carol and i thought all of the hospotality was just amazing! we left there with smiles indeed and a belly full. Thx to all that brought food.....WOW BBQ'd venison steaks right of the barbie and HOT stew just as the winds picked up.. just can't thank ya's enough.
Bowzog and Slushpuppy thanks very much for great minnows and waxies..the perch loved em. Haven't met a bait outfit that would stand up to your kindness. :D
It's my lose for being shy and not meeting more ppl than i did.But there's allways next time and i am sure before we know it Wolfe or others will be getting the Fishhawk'rs all together again.

Many thx again.

We got in, finally, last night. It was a long ride home, as we made a detour to Wolfe Lake for a contractor meeting before turning southward.

I have a few pics and will do my best to get a report up here later today or tonight.

But once again, I have to say it was my absolute pleasure to meet so many of you -- I'm still trying to remember everyone, as we had quite the group there!

Still ticked that my long report was lost on Sunday night; it had to do with re-registering with the hotel for the privilege of free internet, and just as I was about to submit the long post, the 24-hour limit was up. I can't believe the timing! :?

Anyway, your company was certainly enjoyed and we're so appreciative of everyone taking the time out of their weekend to come out and say HI!

Be back on here later...! Much to do at home, now.

W.
Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.
