I can't speak for anyone else, but I stopped attending the Boat/Cottage/Fishing show a few years ago because it didn't offer enough of what interests me - flyfishing. There are other venues that offer this, so I attend them.
I'm certain there were many people who enjoyed last weekend's show, but there just doesn't appear to be too many of them here. Maybe they post on different boards?

Joco I almost peed myself when you wrote that your english is so bad that it means something different every time we read it.
Now that is funny.

I have to agree with Slushy. I used to mod a site (non fishing), that would go nuclear every few minutes. FH by comparison is a really nice vacation.
So take heart BigJim, isn't really all that bad here. I think we're just a passionate group of anglers that don't always see eye to eye. On the whole part, I think most are very respectfull of others here and that among other reasons, is why I stay.
In respect to the show, well, I can't really add anything as I didn't manage to make it.

Hey Big Jim, I know we do not have the market other cities have but I would rather see the show charge less for booths so that it would be worth it for Paddletails, Pro tackle or other smaller stores to come and show what they have. Money is money, i pay 12 bucks to launch a boat or for 2 beer. I was just thinking of ways to improve the show.
Outfitters are spending alot of money, why don't they put recent pictures up?
Sorry i came off like I was venting but the show seems to lose something each year. I enjoy looking at the boats but as a die hard fisherman I want to see lures, reels and new products and talk to people about them

Hey X-Rap...No second guessing your thoughts required buddy, and venting is free all day everyday. With all the shows I have been at in my life even I find it a touch dissapointing sometimes as I mentioned in my first post....but these shows are what you make them to some degree...not all though.
Probably the best thing mentioned in all this has been the point about some of the pre 1948 Kill & Grill photos in some of the booths. Nothing wrong with a fish fry.....but lets catch up to at least 1990 or so.
Also checked out some other types of sites and WOW!!! I now know why I like Fish-Hawk..and then some.
Thanks for enlightening me, and I should also mention that maybe I look at them in a diferent light than you guys since I am there to work, but I still look forward to "every" event and to meeting and talking with new and old anglers alike at every show and making it as positive as possible.
Have a great day
