Hey all, my six year old son wants me to take him ice fishing this weekend, so we thought about heading out to Shirley's Bay on Sunday after watching the Pink Panther at the theatre.
We hope to be out there around 3:30 for the early evening bite, he wants to catch a walleye

Is anyone from here going to be there who could possibly point us in the right direction and maybe even punch a couple of holes for us? The holes are more important than direction since I have no auger.
As well does anyone know if the ice is thick enough to drive my truck out on it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, he's never been ice fishing and I only have a couple of times so I hope this works out well for him.
