Creek or trib or whatever trouting

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Creek or trib or whatever trouting

Post by DaveH »

Heya gang,

OK I wanna get softwater fishing...and like...now!!!! *LOL*

Anyway, I was thinking that about the only thing that's going to be accessible and in season etc is trout. Now I have NO idea where to go for that around this area (or at least within an hour or so drive) any advice??

I don't mind if it's just little brookies, or if it's all the way up to Steelhead, but it just has to be in season, and something "walkable" so I'm thinking creeks or tribs.

Stocked would be cool too, but not necessary.

Any help???

Many places trout doesn't open till the end of April. The season is open in some tributaries, but usually only a small section near the mouth of Lake Ontario. Best to check regs but generally speaking trout is closed in most streams right now....
