Need infos on Crestliner 18, 20 or 22 feet

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Need infos on Crestliner 18, 20 or 22 feet

Post by Shipper »

Hi,

I would like to know if i put a 150 hp on a 20 feets crestliner Mirage, would it be enought ?

I want to get to 41 mph and more, the salesman told me it was ok but i know i can't refer to them :-). If you have a Crestliner 18 feets or more, can you tell me how fast you go on gps and how moch power you have, i would try to figure out how much power i need.

I'd check the max h.p. the boat takes and you want to be as close to max as possible.

I had a 90 merc behind an aluminium 18 foot Fisher and I was around 45mph. Gives you an idea anyways.

Hope this helps.

I have a 17'6" Princecraft with a 115 4s, it gets 44+ on the gps. I would think a 150 could push a 20'er over 41.... But I agre with Carlco as will most here, go with the boat rating, I think a 20' Crestliner is rated at 225Hp $$$$$$$

I am sponsored by Crestliner and my new boat is the Mirage 2000 but I maxed it out with a 225 Optimax and a 15 HP 4 stroke kicker. I can tell you I have been told it will do high 40's with a 150 HP motor, I'm thinking that I'll be getting over 60 MPH and maybe even well over with the 225 Optimax.

The Mirage 2000 is only 1630 #s so it is the lightest 20 foot boat out there.

If you close to here and want to see the 2000 Mirage you can go have a look at mine over at Andre Lalonde Marine in Wendover.
Catch and release them all

41MPH shouldn't be a problem with a 150HP. I have a 20ft Legend w/115hp 4stroke and mine will do 42MPH GPS.

150HP should be lotsa power!
