Hello All,
Just wanted to let you know that the next issue of Ontario Out of Doors magazine (out in two weeks or so) has a large feature Trip Piece that I wrote detailing Skootamatta, Big Gull and Kashwakamak. I received a bunch of quotes for the article from many of the lodges (including Kevin at Fernleigh.) Lots of fishing tips, helpful hints and maps are included in the piece.
After talking with Kevin, and fishing on the lake, you guys are in for a real treat!
Good Fishing,
Justin

A real treat, hey?
Too be honest with you, I could pitch a tent on the side of Poole Creek by the Community Centre right about now and do giggly cartwheels about the thought.

Bring it on!
It seems a number of us will be entertaining the thought about going lake trout fishing somewhere on Thursday June 1 before moving on to KWack. Doing a little research now wrt which waters will be open and will have a place to crash on its shore that Thursday night.
I'd love to hear some suggestions wrt a good laker lake - keeping in mind we do need to get to Kwack on Friday at some point.

I am a boater, well so far any ways, I have yet to fire her up this year.
I think that with a group this size things will naturaly work themselves out. By that I mean that I can see there being some boat jumping going on where the non boaters may switch who they ride with for a couple of hours just so they can fish with somone new, geez it is early and I don't think I am making sense.

Woops - was just doin a little work for Laurentian Marine and forgot to logout of their account when I posted a message a minute ago.
What was I saying? Oh yeah - spare boats - it wouldn't be the first time a spare boat came in handy.
And if there were 14 people who wanted to go - I guess it wouldn't be out of the question to occupy two cottages of seven - would it? I don't think the difference in price would be more than a couple of bucks per day per guy.
A lot depends on whether there is room at the inn or not by the time other people decide they want in.
