Castor River ???

Just started working in Embrun live in osgoode just wondering if there are any good spots to stop along the castor and what kinds of fish??

HI DRAVEN......................

there is walleye.........pike........catfish.....eels.....crappies.......bullheads.....carps.....perch......there is a tons off fish in the castor river.

right down town in embrun.

usely there some ice fishing derby right in the river,,down town.....and there is a derby soon for bullheads to right there,,and its a good one to.............mabe sombody have more info about this one.............?

there nation river close to there to....for good fishing....

Welcome to Embrun!!!

I work at just outside of town going toward Cassleman. I usually just walk right up the the river across the street and set a line down (haven't had much luck yet!!!)

In winter this end of the river tends not to freeze - too much current, but right in town, behind the Coop is a great place for ice fishing.

I think your refering to the poutmasters its going Saturday May 6 and Sunday may 7 registration and wiegh in is by the dam in Russell . Great event for the kids lots of cool prizes

Joco is referring to an ice fishing Derby that usually takes place during the Embrun festival

But there is also the Poutmasters!

I live right by the river but have never fished it... I should really get my butt in gear

yep carlco and topwater are right,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,those are what i was looking for.................the poutmaster........i saw the poster about it,,,seems like a nice event,,,i even think about going there...but its about the same time i am going for lakers.......

....

for the ice derby in embrun,,i think it was canscel this year.......there was none,,,,ice probleme..
