Fishing Week-end - Kashwakamak Lake June 2,3,4

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Well we have 10 confirmed for this trip and that fills one cottage. If there are others that would like to join us at Fernleigh they can contact Kevin at Fernleigh and see if there is space. I know of one other person that might be interested in sharing a cottage if a few more guys go in on it with him.

For those taht are going here is a link to the Solunar calander for June. We are there on a half falling moon phase which is not the peak time. but that means the moon will be out for those late nighters so it will help navigating back to the lodge.

also I looke up the sun times and the sun will be rissing at 5:15 AM and setting at 8:45 PM for total of 15.5 hours of daylight. That is a long day. Add a half hour of twilight on each end.

Looks like the day may go something like this: Up at 4:00 AM to hit the AM Eye bite back for steak and eggs for Breakfast around 9:00 Out around 11:00 for some Pikie action. In about 5:00 for a fish fry. Out at about 7:00 to setup for the PM Eye bite. Hit the beer around 10:00. Pass out shortley there after. Wash rinse repeat.

Are you up for it Pints?

Pretty impressive in the areas where the satellite imagery is up to date. I have been checking some of my old places of residence(Whitehorse, Summerside). I can actually see my parents house in Nova Scotia.

JustinHoffman wrote:Hello All,

Just wanted to let you know that the next issue of Ontario Out of Doors magazine (out in two weeks or so) has a large feature Trip Piece that I wrote detailing Skootamatta, Big Gull and Kashwakamak. I received a bunch of quotes for the article from many of the lodges (including Kevin at Fernleigh.) Lots of fishing tips, helpful hints and maps are included in the piece.
After talking with Kevin, and fishing on the lake, you guys are in for a real treat!
Good Fishing,
Justin
And another great read Justin,(just finished reading it) the guys taking the trip should read it before heading that way, lots of info and great tips

Prizes?

Post by Mr.J. »

What would every one think about bringing up a $10 fishing item, be it a lure or someting else and have a small prize table set up, could be based upon biggest fish or most fish gets 1st pick but everyone gets a prize in the end.

Yeah we'll definitely have to do something like that. A derby of some sort.
