What is Float talkin about?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Some detailed accounts of the Float-Meets-Bunk Great Adventure?

Yes Wolfe - that's the adventure we were talking about. To answer the question, what is Float doing? In this picture he's about to start augering through the polar ice cap... in the following pictures he's getting closer...

The ice was this *@#@*^ THICK I didn't think Bunk had an auger that long. And then on top of all this along comes officer dibbles from the RCMP now known as Brokeback Mounties checking out our fishing licences. Have you ever had to explain to some dimwhits just how out of date they are with their information. Boy is this what our tax payers dollars are going into? Let's talk about Calvin Klein jeans a litttle more.
I'm running short on barley sandwiches.

My first thoughts were of the wounded crane attack position from the movie the Karate kid.

and compare...

I can hear Bunk in the background, "If do right, no can defense".

HAAAA HAAAAA,

That's funny, and if anyone has ever seen Float tellin a story about how he sets the hook, you'll know that his leg is pumped up high and his arms tucked tight to his side.

Float, that was a great story and I always have a blast listening to ya tell it. You're a good man Charlie Brown.

Apparently Bunk pulled out the extension to the auger which made them start in that position, and end up right down to the ice. Drill 4 to 6 feet, and fish in 1 foot.....pull out monsters. What a story.

I agree Kpin. Reminded me of the old stuff that would get peppered in here among the fishing reports. Good natured ribbing. And Float's usually involved in some way, shape, or form -- "form", as in the wounded crane move. Ohhh, that was funny! :!:

Can only imagine an entire major network sitcom could be produced from the Adventures of Float & 'Bunk.

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.
