Solar bat sunglasses
Solar bat sunglasses
Has anybody tried the new Solar Bat (Mossback green color) fishing sunglasses? Are they worth the money or will a cheap pair of Bass Pro shops polarized glasses do?

I have recently encountered the EXACT same problem
I fell in love with the "solar bat's" as well, and then came the question: are they worth the $$, or should I pick up some for 40$ at bass pro? The answer is that I decided to go with the solar bats and have never regretted it, I can see EVERYTHING in the water (structure, fish etc) and almost have 0% glare, I have not tried out the bass pro ones, but can only assume that they are the "cheap alternative"... take the plunge and go with the solar bats, your eyes will never had thanked you so much.

I have both Bluewater and Solar Bat glasses(Moss back green lenses) and the Solar Bat 's are by far the best. I got the Sonar frames and they are light and the lenses are amazing. If you plan on taking care of the glasses spend the extra money and buy the solar bats, they should last you a lifetime. Stay away from the cheap glasses, you will just regret spending the money. You know the old saying, you get what you pay for.

I'm going to ask Karl Kalonka to provide some info. Solar Bat sponsors their Extreme Angler show and I should be able to get some info. I'll let you all know if I do.
In the meantime, here is where you can get em in Canada.

Like Fishmaster said, the mossback green lenses are great. I have been using them since ice out and they really improve your sight fishing. Try viewing the website at http://www.solarbat.com/ or as Bobber stated, go to K-Dawgs site (Extreme Angler TV) at http://www.extremeanglertv.com/
This weekend the weather looks nice and calm for sightfisherman - hope you guys have your "Solarbat Eyewear" by then ........

Bob Stirling is supposed to be a rep for Solar bat. Although he has been in my store since I told him I was interested, it seemed too much effort to go out and get an order book. (He is also my St Croix rep). He is supposed to show up at the store tomorrow, I will ask him again.

p.s. By the way Mossman, where did you pick your pair up?
