Opening day on Lake Scugog

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Opening day on Lake Scugog

Post by Bassman30 »

Hit the lake at 5AM this morning. First fish was a nice muskie caught on a white spinnerbait. Next was a small walleye and a bunch of rockbass. Moved to across the lake and started fishing large weed flats. Lots of action. Stopped counting after 30 Largemouth. Probally landed close to 50 fish by 1pm. Most were caught on silver or white spinner bait and black YUM Dinger.

Bassman, you got some great #'s there; any pictures? Was the muskie sizeable? How about the bass?

Great outing.

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Yeah, it was pretty crazy out there. That was the best day I've ever had there. Last years best was about 30 bass in one day. Went out this morning, things seem to have slowed down. Maybe all the fishing pressure, there was a turnament today I think. Only caught about 10 bass today. Here are some pics
