First trout fishing experience

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

First trout fishing experience

Post by BigFish »

Following Joco's tips and advice, I finnaly decided to try trout fishing for the first time this past weekend.

I bought several smaller spinners, hooks and baits since I wasn't equipped for this type of fishing, bought a temporary Quebec licence for 1 day and made my way over to fish. After a good morning of fishing, I went home with 3 raibows, all about 10" in lenght; not so bad for a first time. I also missed a 4th and saw several big ones jumping after flies on the surface.

Thanks for all the tips from everyone, especially Joco. I can now add rainbows to the list of fish I've caught.

Looking forward to the next trip over.

Congrats on your first trout outing. Sometimes these fish can be harder to catch then winning the lottery, so you did great job catching some.

Not where he was fishing :P Nice to see you hooked into a few trout...small spinners seem to be the only method of getting the little buggers right now
