Lure components?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Lure components?

Post by Tip-up »

Hey all you Hawkers...

I was looking into the custom paint and detailing on a few hundred assorted jig heads I have kickin around in the basement..I have all the info and most of the tools needed to do the job..I now need to find a dealer that is local who carries powder paint and different bucktail, marabou and tinsel components...

If you know a spot that sells this or have some advice you want to share on tying bucktails, let me know

Best place in town for selection is Orvise Green Drake on Scott (I think that's the correct info) but you won't find powder paint there.

But if you ever do find someoen local with powder paint please pass the info along to me, I would really appreciate it.

Don't know of a local supplier, but if you are looking for a good supply of everything you need to make lures of all kinds, go to www.luremaking.com - Canadian, great selection, quick shipping (at a reasonable cost) and nice folks to deal with.

Shame shame.....

I suggest you register... And start shopping... I always get familiar with prices of items I would like to buy.. and then check eBay.. For example....I got a sweat deal on a Mr. Heater last year.. Anyway if your not comfotable with online buying, it's not for you.. Send me a PM if you want any eBay advice...
