Yesterday I got a few tips on how to get them....Attached to whatever bait was getting tossed was a one foot stinger hook with a big mustad treble.Nothing was going to get away this time ;D.
We arrived at our spot on the Ottawa at 4:00pm.As soon as we got there you could see active fish thrashing around....sight fishing was the only way to locate them.
First baits to hit the water included Northam Fishing Tackles spinnerbaits and a Blue Fox number 5 size Blade spinner(Frog colour).....right away Jig head slammed the hooks into this guy

Minutes later I followed up with this little scrapper.....

We were ready for any bass that made a presence

During the few hours we were down there we had on at least 5 fish including Jig heads huge one that flipped off before we could glove it :-/ It was at least a good 10+ pounds

As the pod moved further down along the weed edge, it made it impossible to get a cast at them...Smallmouth bass was our target now ::)

Non really of any size, a great way to end the night though...
Heading up to the cottage early tomorrow morning for walleye then back to get them big gar on Sunday...Report to follow..
Hope you enjoyed
