pull start or electric start?
If you are going to have this motor for a while its best to get a repair manual. It will definately pay for itself in the long run.

7 amp ALTERNATOR

Post by mikemicropterus »

:D Generators are in the olden days you should have two yellow wires going into a triagular aluminum shaped device called a rectifier and that is connected to the wiring harness at the starter solenoid, red wire going to thus charging the battery, no wires no ALTENATOR. The rectifier is on the right hand side starboard and the wires come out from under the flywheel the maximum output is 7 amps, enough to keep a starting battery charged ONLY. Not a great output and that 7 amps is at 4000 rpm :o
