Mister B shark what you just described is fishing with live bait once she gets ya its into the live-well to do as she pleases water ,no water air ,no air

I have been in the so called live-well for going on 24 years. I would have been out by now with good behavior.

But it could be different for you I hope it is good luck and congratulations.

WOW! No matter how I yell the instructions to strike a pose, I can never get an osprey to pose like that - I've tried a hundred times.

Mr. Loon , I know things wont change she is the one who suggests things. And reminds me to pick up stuff. I truly am a lucky guy after all these years I finally caught that trophy fish.

Beautiful action shot of the osprey, CCB. Another magazine-worthy shot, without a doubt. How & where did you get such a fantastic pic?

With regards to a good marriage, boys: "it takes two to tango" (as well as a lot of other things). It's not always easy, but it's well worth the "work" that goes into it. The Mister & I are on our 15th year.

Go for it, Badger Shark -- she sounds "cool"!

k-PIN I have had the hell scared outta me many times before thats why I've waited so long to get married. It just took a bit of fishing but I finally got lucky. But I like the humour.

And she is reading these responses and laughing, and making sure I dont write anyting bad.

Incorrigable? Moi? I've been called alot of things b4 but incorrigable? Perhaps your right Wolfe, I do need to get out and do more fishing. How's your season going so far? The bite @ Wolfe lake good?

...and Badger, I'm just messing with/ya man, I'm all for the constitution of marriage. It's just unfortunate that afterwords all your constitutional rights are removed.

It seems that a simple wildlife photo can mean many different things to many people.

Based on some of the responses, I'm now curious (like BigSim) as to whether divorce rates among anglers are higher than in the general public- it's starting to look that way!

Anyways- here's another shot from Monday of a different bird in a different nest area - I really hope that none of you have had to look ito the eyes of your significant other and have osprey-eyes look back at you. If so- you were justified in getting divorced.

Wolfe- there are at least a dozen nests within a five minute boat ride from my dock. After a while they get used to me, but never really welcome me with open arms (wings?). I take a couple hundred shots and hope to get a couple of decent ones:

CCB, that shot is simply amazing! Reminds me of the last thing I saw b4 my ex-wifes lawyers descended upon me.

Seriously though, keep up the great work, it is appreciated! I'm curious about the camera you use, that takes such great pics. I'm sure you've given details b4 but I'm in the market for a digital and would appreciate advice, from you and from all. As I'm totally ignorant in this regard.

Hi Kpin:

My camera is a Panasonic FZ20, which, when I bought it was a pretty decent model (12x optical zoom, image stabilization, and good Leica lens). They originally sold here for $8-900., but I got mine on the U.S. for $400. They now can be had on eBay for $2-300. Like everything else in the electronics field this model has been upgraded several times -bigger, faster, better!

I'm looking to upgrade now, and will likely go the DSLR route, but to get the same reach (zoom capabilities) the lens alone will cost a couple thousand

The option of using high ISO's to capture wildlife in other than ideal light is expensive...

If you don't need the high optical zoom, then there are dozens of cameras available that will take good close-up to medium distance photos at very reasonable cost. Hope this helps,
