Thousand Islands Bass ....what to look for?

Hi Folks, a couple of buddies and I are heading down to the Thousand Island area to try for Bass on Sunday. Having never fished there before we're lookin for a few tips on what structure to look for and colours to use. I'm not asking for anyone to give up spots/lures....just some general tips. We plan to fish largies and smallies.
