Anybody fished Muskrat River?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Muskrat river

Post by Pierre-L »

The river can be good for largies and some pike and some bigger perch (including Mud Lk.) in the summer. As for the spring I do not know. In the fall most people stick with the lake. Keep in mind that the river is tricky to navigate in some areas. There is also a launch on the river just off Hwy 17 before Meath Hill, but is only mediocre. A lot of people with big boats leave from the Cobden ramp and make the run.

Good luck!
