Rice Lake report (pics)

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Rice Lake report (pics)

Post by teppy »

For cheap price of sanity I had to take the day off work and go fishing!!!
Opted for Rice as its close for me and one of my favourite lakes. The day started out with Rain which stinks cause I had just really gave the boat a good wash and now it sits in the garage wet. I`ll get it out tomorrow and dry er up!!!
Started out with my buddy hooking in to a smaller musky that hit a top water, good hit...fight and quick release at boat side without even a touch.
And right after that we got into some smallies and a walleye.
Heres a pick of my other buddy with a smallie he caught.

Then it was my turn and I hooked this smallie which was 4.6lbs

We ended up with a few fish here but these were the biggest for this area.
So we moved to another spot that I know of that usually has some good fish on it at this time of year but its always been hit or miss. But the hits are usally good ones as last year I caught a 6lb smallie and a 4.6lb smallie back to back. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this walleye shoot up and grab my jerk-bait.

Over to the next spot which was nice because we were out of the cold damp fall wind when I saw this fish tailing my bait....one pause and sluuurppp she sucked the jerk-bait in.(The best part is watching them eat it) Here she is... a 3.6 lb smallie

All in all the fish look good but my cheesy smile........ah well never did take good pictures anyways.
And hey its better than working!!!!!!!!!!!
