Rockland Boat Ramp

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Rockland Boat Ramp

Post by The Nipigon »

Just a short note, both docks at the Rockland boat ramp where pulled up this afternoon. Time to start looking at the ice gear. I like the frozen bucket of water idea to test the auger. That's dedication

I believe the docks are still in next to the Aylmer ramp but believe that they too will be out soon.

As the new ramp is not on the main river, we designed it so that it can be used until the ice is too thick to make it out...with the bridge current this would allow for fishing very late in the season..

Cheers

The cement dock at the public launch on Buckhams Bay is submerged. The water level is almost as high as the spring runoff level. Lots of debris floating around out in the main channel too so be careful.
