Your best top water lure

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Nodie,

Not sure if you're talking about surface fishing in general or for a specified species (i.e. muskies).

But 2 of my favorite topwater lures for bassin (smallies, especially) are the Heddon Torpedo and the Zara Spook. These are my go to surface presentation choices.

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Nodie: I'm with ya on the Sammy, but you're about $10.00 hogh on the price. I am also a big fan of the Flappin Shad by Gambler and any kind of rat. Some of the new frogs, like the cane toad from Gambler have fooled a fish or two for me as well.

Hello All,

In regards to largies and smallmouth, my top three would have to be a Zara Spook or Puppy, Chug Bug and Spit N' Image.

Gotta love topwatering!

Good Fishing,
