This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Jebby, launch your boat at Windsor Marina and fish from the sand piles to the Yacht Club....you will see a bunch of boats in the area....just get in with them and jig.....your line MUST be vertical!!!!! If you are not then you won't catch walleye....if you don't have an electric you will have to use your regular motor to keep your line vertical....drop the jig to the bottom and make sure when jigging to keep tension on the line even on the drop....walleye in the river tend to suck the bait in and spit it back out very fast so you have to keep in contact with the jig at all times.......for any first timers in the river it's best to use a stinger hook because of the short bite....you can use minnows or FIN-S plastics and also Berkley Power Worms....go to Wally's Bait and get some, ask Ben what is the best colours right now....at this time of year I use 30# florocarbon as a leader, LOTS of musky around that area right now....hope that helps Jebby and I might see you out there on Sunday if I am not perching in Colchester.....later!

thx ive beent old about keeping line vertical and i couldent agree more. no electric and old motor that runs ruf at low rpm makes it hard though :( we usually launchat lasalle public and drift up the canadian shore side of fighting island. im scared to take my lil tinny anywhere far from the launch because it is an old motor and it dosent like the rough water... u think id be ok out of windsor public?... also i tend to like fighting island because 9 times out of ten i can match the drift without the motor... i really appreciate the info and hope i see u.... what kind of boat do u have and around when will u be out?.. you will know me. im the 1 with the 50 year old johnson lol.... ill be out around 4 ish till i get to cold because i have to work in the morning.. also considering monday afternoon (class out at 1 :) ) as for general location.. they holding in how much water and on what kind of structure? thx jebby

You won't have to travel very far at all from the launch..... and if it's a nice day you will see all kinds of boats out there so if you run into trouble you should be fine.....I see smaller boats out there all the time.....don't worry about structure or how many feet of water...just go with all the other boats, if the guys are fishing an area that usually means there are fish around.....I have a 18' Sylvan, white and blue with a 75 horse Merc and a 6 horse Honda 4 stroke on the back....but I might be in my Buddies boat....he has a 21', black, Tracker Walleye Pro....he runs FishTracker Charters.....if I see ya I'll make sure to come by and say HI and see how you are making out.....

That's the one in the Riverside area.....great launch!!! I'm still not sure if I will be out there or on Erie.....I heard that we are looking at north winds for Sunday so it might be too rough to get out on St. Clair....be safe out there!!!!
