And what a turn it was. Board popped and the battle was on. This fish was not like any other Quinte Walleye I've caught in the past. Reeling those beauties in from 400ft you don't feel a lot a fight, more weight than anything else until the fish comes to the surface and you drag her in from 50 ft behind the boat. No way sir....not this one...she was a real fighter. Pump, pump, pump, straight down all the way to the boat. I thought it was never going to come up. By the fight, I figured for sure it was a sheephead. Took me 20 minutes to get her in...but when I did see her my eyes lit up.
14 pound Bay of Quinte Eye....and Bobber's personal best so far.

The old girl was safely released, but promised me she'd come back next year, 2 pounds heavier. Now I want to go again.
