Anyways, got her launched and motored by one boat on the way to just past the lighthouse as the winds and waves were coming from the East pretty good. The weather was crappy but we pretty much had the whole Reach to ourselves! Ended up 4 for 4 with one 29.5 incher, 30, 30.5 and a 32 incher. Didn't weigh any as I think the battery died in my scale. I'm not sure what the 32 incher weighed but I think it was my personal best, probably beating my 13 lber from a few years ago. Joanne finally got her first fall fish which we'll just call a double digit for lack of a working scale It was a 29.5 incher.
We were in the water by 12 and out by 3 and ran into a couple of guys from Kingston who were just launching as the winds were really picking up. If you guys read this hope you did well and didn't get too soaked in your tiller with no top. Anyways, it was a nice way to end the year....unless I can make it up next Friday. I'd have to replace my winch strap which broke part way back to camp but that's just kinda the day it was I guess.
The magic lures were the Cabela's Reef Runner type baits in all Purple and Pink with Yellow belly. We ran a Wonderbread coloured one but didn't get a fish on it. 2 were off boards and 2 off flatlines.
