Disney fishing

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I looked at the link and the prices seem really steap.

There is a ton of lakes around Orlando plugged with Bass.

I did a google search and found 4 or 5 guides close to disney that had 4 hr. trips for the price that is advertised on the link that you provided.

Do some goggle searches and make some contacts I think you will find very professional guides very close to where you are staying and very competative pricing.

Good luck and don't forget to post a report and pictures when you get back.

You can fish the canals right in disney...
Saw a show within spittin distance of the attractions.
I can't remember if it was Italo or Bob.
But it's hard to forget that skyline.

Anyone else remember that episode?

florida bass

I stayed at the pop century resort in Disney last april, search for one of my old posts and you will see some of the fish I caught from lake Walk in Water. I took my son with me (11 at the time) and we had a blast. Never hooked a monster but we did catch close to 20 largemouth and a few pike. It was $300.oo for the day U.S funds, so it does cost quite a bit....and it was about 50 min. outside of Disney.
Now when we got to the resort there is a lake right behind it so the first thing I did was get my glasses on to see if I could see any largemouth. I saw a ton  So I asked one of the workers skooting by me on one of their carts and asked if I could fish in here and he told me any guest of Disney can go right ahead but catch and release only.
Not knowing this I never brought any gear from home  :!: :!:
So I went and found the wife with this huge smile on my face :D and told her I was going to bass pro shops.....she laughed and said can`t you wait we just got here :?: I said hell no I can fish back there in the lake.
So off I went and spent $180.00 on some stuff including a cheap combo and my son and I fished back there every morning before we would go park hopping :!: We caught quite a few fish but nothing huge, I lost 2 fish back there that I know were over 7 lbs one was on a chug bug early in the a.m and the other was on a jign pig. With the top water I was casting along the shore not way out deep. Rubber worms apparently work really well, red shad/purple. From the pics I posted before there is one from a bridge I was standing on and you can view the lake. Buena vista was the name I believe.
Anyway pack some stuff with you and if you can stay at this resort, can`t beat fishing everyday before the parks open :!: :!: :!: :D
Hope that helps
