WOW, It's Been 3 Years...

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

:D I remember way back when..hmm must be old :) When some were trying to figure out if Wolfe was female. I believe it was kept secret in the beginning.

Wow!

Didn't check in for a day and half and then saw all these fun responses. Thanks, guys! You all gave me a smile. We've got a lot of "characters" here don't we? Keeps things fun...!

I appreciate the kind words and the laughs.

We are off to Lake Placid tomorrow a.m. to celebrate Brian's big "40th". I'll touch base upon our return mid-week.

Meanwhile, you all behave yourself (as if!) and no big debates in my absence please. 8)

W.

PS: Joisey Joe, we got dumped on with white stuff, but not as bad as our northerly neighbors (i.e. Redfield, Parrish, etc.) where they got about 145". We have a bit over 2' on the ground, but more is falling now and the wind has created some wicked drifts.

PSS: Floatfishin' !!!! Hope we see ya over the summer...unless we get up to Ottawa sooner for a visit. You know we'll get a howl in going if we can.
Be good, PeeWee.

Wolfe,

I can remember the first time you joined the site. You made a few posts and didn't identify the fact that you weren't a guy. I assume many just assumed it, I know I did.

My how things change. We have a lot more females on the site. People come and go of course, but it's definately not uncommon anymore.

I also remember you saying that you only identified yourself as a woman after reading posts and the way you were treated on the site, indicating that the quality of people and the discussion was nothing but respectful. I thank you for that and hope the past 3 years have met your expectations.

So Wolfe, congrats on your 3 years and I hope to see you around for a long time to come. Thanks for your dedication.

Cheers,
Rob Atkinson

In serious response to SteveO's comments about Wolfe's demeanor and ability to amazingly carry her great personality over in words. I've got to admit, she's almost what I'd consider the matriarch of the site.

Lord knows a well worded and calmly stern, yet gentle few words from her has made me regret words I'd already written and start to behave.

"Matriarch"? Now I really feel OLD! (Like when I stopped being called "miss" and became "ma'am". :x )

You mean like "Kpin, you beeeeeeeeep @#$&*!! beeeeeeeeeep $#$%@!!!! beeeeeeeeep!!" ??

Love ya all -- thanks again for the very nice words and I hope to be sticking around here for another few years.

W.

PS: Salmon and Bobber - yeah, you're right about my revealing my gender a little after the fact. I think the way I put it was that "my bobbers are north of the border instead of south"...! We had some kind of great thread going at that time where everyone introduced themselves and told a bit about what they did for a living, for fun, etc. We found out a lot of cool stuff about one another.

Yes ma'am  , Matriarch in the strictest of young, hottie, terminology, of course. I made the same mistake of thinking you were a dude initially Wolfe.

I was pleasantly surprised and simultaneously realized, I couldn't burp, fart and swear whenever.

Regardless of pompous, chauvanistic male perceptions, I feel women are a nec. and indeed needed part of anything civilized.....(esp. if they can cook)!

(Yeah, yeah, @ss-kicking to follow, I'll take my chances, while reminding you of your duties as the fairer and more tempermental, level headed, gentler, reasonable sex).

Ya think that one liner is gonna get me outta a severe Wolfe whippin' boys?

Crap....she's gonna beat the "ever loving fear of the Lord" right outta me...If....she can catch me..."in my native Canadian enviornment"...being a predator from another nation...I'll take me chances... (and pray, with the fear of God, she doesn't catch me)!

I'm assuming over accumulation of fast foot and big mac's will slow her down.
