Saturday Fishing Report

Went out yesterday to a new lake.

I have to say, this was the cleanest lake I have ever seen. When sitting in the hut it was like ice fishing in Barbados. With my black hut the light comming through the ice was magnificent.

Was in about 15' of water, and it was so clear it was almost as if you could reach out and touch the bottom.

Pulled up a couple decent size perch and a couple T's.

Got hungry so decided to rig up the 2007 ghetto BBQ. 8)

Egg rolls, zucchini sticks oh my..... all in all I had one of the best times on the ice this year. Will be back to this location very soon. This being one of my first reports and many more to come.

wow.....that is clear water... :shock:

there some fat perch in that bunch.... :shock: :wink: .

Great report! That perch looks giant...

Were you jigging with that xrap? or did you just put it in the photo to give an idea of the size of the fish?

The water clarity reminds me of a few lakes that I fish near Maniwaki..Great photo!

That perch must go 14'' ??

Oh my god! That perch you're two-handing is a monster! Don't mind seeing a slab like that every-so-often. Nice healthy looking fish. Keep the reports coming.

Heh, just used it for the size :D

Why do I have that in my ice fishing box? Ya never know when your going to hit some open water!
