Maybe make up a poster with the pictures and mention the $500 reward. Then put up the poster at popular hangout. There must be a bar, pool hall, park that they frequent.
And hope someone they bragged to or a friend will come forward.

i guess it really does not surprise me at all. no parents 1 parent , tv or computer raising children. its sad to see but a reality no matter where we live. i hope thir caught and a whoopin is in order from ma and pa, but the problem is they dont really care. its already shown from the pictures and actions.
Unfortunately the persons responsible for this deed will probably go unpunished at least in the eyes of the law. I am asuming they are young offenders and with the Young Offenders Act they will likely get off completely or just get a slap on the wrists. Getting their pictures out is a good idea. Why not post their pictures on the internet maybe "U TUBE" Maybe the shame of having their pictures out there would make them think twice or at least let their friends and families know what they have been up to. I know its not going to bring back the ice huts and not have the satisfaction of having them jailed or getting their kneecaps broken, but why not give it a try.

Come on " Clarendon the Lurker ". You know exactly what people are saying here. Not necessarilly to hurt these guys but the message is, there are no consequenses for actions anymore. So say what you will, it is a public board afterall but the majority of people are sick of this kind of thing happening. If some brat kid or adult for that matter destroyed your stuff, and the police could not do anything about it I think you would be pretty upset and dissappointed and angry. Those shacks cost alot of money, some of them thousands of dollars not to mention the contents, wood stoves, heaters and yes sometimes people leave equiptment in them which is their own risk. Breaking in and stealing tackle is one thing but destroying with absolute anger from the looks of the pics is not only disturbing but frightening that kids are out their doing this stuff. So I am sorry you dont agree with the comments being written here and you have every right not to agree. But I dont think scolding the majority is going to win out here.
Sorry you think this site is morally corrupt but I am willing to bet if other sites have this topic, and I am sure at least one does, the exact same feelings are probably being written.

If I could choose just one word to sum it all up, I'd quote Hitman and "assinine."Claredon, although I do understand your stance, respectfully disagree.
In a day and age where there are no longer consequences for actions. That the computer, tv and xbox act as babysitters. Where a young punk will just as easily pump ya full of lead or knife you as quick as a wink, rather than "take it outside," like we used to do as gents in the "old days."
Tar and feathering? Nah, too mild in my opinion. Prosecution to the full extent of the law, holding the parents financially responsible and yeah...I'm gonna say it...a good twack from one of the 2x4's from the shacks they vandalized.
(I'd also make them eat a raw perch but I'm particularly twisted in nature).

clarendon. your thoughts puzzle me. first its a vent from disgusted people. hard work went into building and acquiring the heater and materials.. this subject has gone beyond a time out. actually i still live in a world that makes me accountable. it really is called civilization. in some of those impoverished countrys that crime would be a death sentence. all said here is justice is crying.
