The basement part was to keep the wife from freaking out when she saw my battery in the living room. I'll have to tell her you said the basement was a no-go

Mr. J the problem with telling her that, is that she might suggest that the DogHouse is in a wide open area of your backyard.

Plugged it in tonight, works really well but no GPS reception but heck I got to set up the sonar to my liking.
