Tournaments

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

What would be the best series to get a first hand try at the tournament scene? Never been in one before but am considering it. I'm just looking for something to get my foot in the door, grab some experience and who knows where from there. It looks fun and i'm all for that! Pike and Bass are at the top of my list. Thanx

Hi Marcthefisherman,

You should take a look at Bass Anglers Association. http://www.bassanglersassociation.ca

A great place to learn the ins and outs of tournament angling, while having some fun and meeting some great people.

esoxseeker, My suggestion to you if you want to experience tournament angling and as well decease your learning curve in the sport of Bass tournament angling, I would suggest you approach the Barrie Bassmasters, who is a chapter of the Ontario Bass Federation Nation.(OBFN) This is an excellent venue to learn about the sport and in addition gives you opportunity to fish other locations across Simcoe county,as you are in the hub of Bass fishing within the province in general. You can join the chapter either as a boater or non-boater. I have included the link to the OBFN which lists all the Chapters within OBFN (marcthefisherman) and it also contains info ref mtg dates and locations and contact numbers. I think you will really enjoy.

Cheers, hawgbass
