Need Information about the B of Q
Does anyone have any information on the Bay of Quinte around the Hungry Bay area. A map or where to find one would be great. Looking to do some fishing in this area and would love a little insight about the area. I am sure with this vast amount of knowledge someonehere must knows this area. Any information would be appreciated.

Hi There,
I'm looking at the Quinte Angling Adventures Map and can't see any 'Hungry Bay'
I must admit that I've never heard of that area.
Where exactly is the area that you are referring to? Close to another landmark.

Good research Burv. I grew up in Belleville and never heard of that being called Hungry Bay, and I think Fatluke grew up about a stones throw from this bay. Guess none of us are ever done learnin'
That area would be known to the locals as the "north shore of Big Bay" and once you're there, you're either 'east' or 'west'(toward Trident pt) of the salmon outflow. Check out a map here http://www.quintefishing.com/images/bigbay.gif It gives an idea of the bottom contures (OMG and it shows "Hungry Bay"....guess I should read my maps a little closer!). Hope this helps.

Hungry Bay
I just wanted to share some info with you about this particular piece of water.
Back in the hayday of the bay this place used to hold a lot of fish. Not so much anymore.
I fished this stretch last day of the opening last year... and without any success. One other factor to bear in mind is that if the west wind is blowing this beach area gets real choppy.
I would highly recommend fishing the channel area on the map that is referred to in your discussion string. A lot of anglers were fishing this stretch last year. Many were trolling near the shoal on the bottom left area of the map but more were drift fishing the channel. The deep water just at the bottom right of the map... this channel leads to the narrows a very productive area for many.
Best of luck this season. I might be down on the opener but I haven't firmed up any plans yet. A Mepps black fury with the feathered treble tipped with a chunk of dew worm used to be the lure of choice in the Hungray Bay area.
