Went down to one of my favorite carp spots on the St. Lawrence. The bite was fairly steady for the first few hours, but it gradually dwindled down to nothing as the wind died down. Managed 3 fish in total, with several missed runs and a breakoff.
Saw plenty of small carp cruising the shallows, but no real monsters yet. Should be really good in another week when the water warms up some more.

To answer your question, I dunno if I'd actually make an official registration. I want to weigh a carp that tops the current 38lb record, then I may very well release it.
My dad has already caught one well above that out of the Nation River.
