My name is Teena, I'm new to the site and totally new to fishing.

My 3 year son has taken an interest in fishing, so to encourage his interests I'm learning about fishing too. We live on Kingston Mills Road, so we go up the road to the locks. Here's a few pics from the weekend.

I think these are rock bass. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

This is Owen's first fish pulled in by himself!

He got splashed by this one

And last but not least me "big" catch of the day.

My hubby pulled in a few, nothing he wanted me to show, lol.

Get him a nice little ultra-light combo and he will love catching those rockbass. they will feel like a big fish on an ultra.

Welcome to Fish-Hawk Teena and thanks for sharing the pics. I love to see the kids out fishing and good on ya for the encouragement and support.

Yep, they are rockbass for sure....some like to call them "Rock Dukes" as they are a great little fight for such a small fish.
