OK, some feedback please, I am looking at purchasing a Tracker Mod V bass boat, either the Pro Team 170 TX or the Pro Team 175 TXW.
Please provide pro & cons and general feedback from any experience you have with these boats.
Thanks,
Dirtbag

Tracker Boats
You might want to visit ontariofishing.net to read about some of the downsides to owning a Tracker boat. This guy found out the hard way that there is a nasty flaw with these boats. Tracker came good and replaced the guys boat but... I think that everyone should know what they are buying up front.
Don't get me wrong. I run a Nitro so I know that there are good products put out by Tracker boats... and Martin Truex runs well in the Nascar series. But still I can't understand how this little defect slipped by them at Tracker.
Long story short. Guy buys boat takes it to Quinte for walleye opener. New boat guy is proud as hell .... ties it off at a dock and everything is fine. Next day wakes up.... his boat is sunk to the bottom and submerged. Does the right thing takes photos... gets witnesses and phones the supplier. About a month later they replace his boat and weld up the spot that leaked on these boats on the new one so that it doesn't happen again. I guess that there is a gap in the transom that allowed waves to leak into his boat at the dock and that sunk his first boat. I hope that Tracker is welding them all now but I bet there are a few out there that still don't know this potential problem exists. Search for Tracker on the website mentioned above to see what I mean. I couldn't believe it.
Oh well all the research in the world can not make up for real life testing of things... I guess they proved that there was still room for improvement and I am sure that the owner will enjoy many great years with the boat.

I own a Tracker Pro Team 175, Baby Bass Boat as I now call it. To me it is an awesome boat. But compared with the guys who spend a lot of money there is no comparison. I purchased my boat last May from Georges Marine in Eganville. The staff was very helpful in me deceiding what to buy.
I have had two problems with the boat since then, First was a faulty battery and was replaced right away. Second problem was the charger, they installed a new charger right away, while the other one was sent back to tracker.
I have had no other problems with the boat. I fish a lot, I have almost 500 miles on the boat this year alone. I only fish small lakes, and drove up the Ottawa river on Monday to Da Swisha(Rolphton) from Pembroke.
I have a 40 hp motor and if I had to do it again id go with the 75. Its all about speed. Dont get me wrong the motor is great, good on gas, and the boat will go 28 mph on the gps.
This spring I installed a new igps, and also installed a min kota trolling motor, and am very happy I have done both.
Other than that, I have the red model and it gets lots of looks. It catches great fish, and I would not hesitate to suggest to anyone buying one of these boats.
If you go to some of the larger fishing lodges in the states this is the boat that they will rent to you.
Tracker is a good name, and by the last post they stand behind there product. I highly recommend that if you purchase a new boat, the slightest problem its right back to the shop and let them solve the problem.
There are lemons in every product on the market from can openers to submarines.
Fell free to pm me for any additional information.
