Walleye, First time

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Congrats on the action, looks like a fun time. Those are some great fish, and a personal best walleye to boot! Thanks for the report.

Thanks,

I had a great time on the water for sure. Even though I caught mostly little tiny Perch. It was fun to actually catch what your targeting.

Well, Abraxus. We'll get out again soon. And we won't count the trip on June 22nd weekend. We'll just catch tons of fish and show off the pics to Ed and Andrew :)

Nice Eyes....

Are you aware of the fish limit and slot sizes in that area? :?:

I have to say this. Knowing the regs is the best thing a person can do for themselves. Those fish are slot fish. Except one!WTG on a great day poaching dude! Id have your boat number phoned in quick as quick. That is a very sad sad sight . Get a tape..get the regs...Follow them. Nice fish and nice way to start!...........NOT!  Its more than obviouse people here dont abide by the regs.

If Buckeye had not mentioned specific details of the location the fish were caught, this report would've been received differently. I do think that there is a serious lesson to be taken from this. Before you wet a line make absolutely certain you know the regulations and know them well. I also think for the most part, people on this board are not poachers and follow the rules.

Welcome to the site GB!!!..... :D ....

Regulations? How about common sense? A new species, and a new way of fishing, and they don't bother looking up the rules to the "game"?

I'm disgusted. This is my home body of water, and I WILL get boat/license numbers when I see them. Hope you have lots of money guys...the ministry will be getting lots of it.
