Bass Season

This is all very confusing... I live in Kingston, does this mean I can take Owen fishing for Bass on Saturday?

TShorty11, yes you can. All interior lakes open on Saturday 23 June.

I heard that the MP for the Lefaivre area sent a couple of messages to provincial counterparts and got the ball moving. But I just think it was common sense!!! As soon as somebody actually sat down and read the regs he could clearly see that they made no sense whatsoever.

Not only did Bass season open on a Friday on the Ottawa River...but Walleye and Muskie opened on a Friday as well!!!!

Good on you guys!

I am heading up to Loughborough Lake this afternoon to get the cottage set up for the annual Loughborough Lake Extravaganza and Male Healing Retreat (LLEMHR). I think there will be eight of this year getting together for some male healing and a bit of fishing. But no bass until tomorrow morning!

Tonight may involve strategy sessions over a pop or three.....

Quebec seasons always open on Fridays, so Ontario opens its season on the same day, since it's the same river.
Wow, this early opener caught me completely unawares. I'm in town with a day off, and my yak and all my gear are out at my camp. Looks like no opening-day action for me on the Ottawa.
