Bass Lessons - 26JUN07

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Bass Lessons - 26JUN07

Post by Ladyfish »

Salmon asked if I was interested in checking out a spot of his and learning about bass fishing. I reminded him that the temp was going to be 34 without the humidex. We decided to go for it anyways. I just didn't know how far we had to lug the canoe before we finally hit the lake

We started off small with the crappies and learning how to "attempt" to hit the right spot with getting the only weeded area around  And then I got to move up to the bass :D

With the highlight being my PB of 18.5 and 3.7 lbs YES!!!

Salmon found his way into some too

Later we gave the pike a run but they didn't want to co-operate as much.
We called it a day with this final 26" in the boat

Definitely was a hot one but a blast at the same time.

Thanks for the lessons Salmon :D

Hi Ladyfish,

Great story. I see you're located in the Kitchener area, where were you fishing? I am always looking for new spots to fish in the Grand River/Oxbow.

Thanks and fish hard!

Salmon,

No I haven't had the chance to try it yet. It definitely sounds nice. I will certainly give it a go some time over the course of the summer.

Thanks for the info....
