Why musky fisherman rule

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Why musky fisherman rule

Why musky fisherman rule

Recently somebody left a reply to a buddy’s post that implied trout fishermen were better than the rest of us fisher folk. Okay, elitist light in the loafer ninnies have been around for a long time (oh I went to a university with a 3 syllable name founded with money made from the slave trade; ach, I drive a car with rain sensing wipers and pure German chrome; well, my wife has large surgically enhanced attributes; or, I use only grey poopon on my hemorrhoids) but I just want to make one thing perfectly clear …

Musky fishermen rule!

(PS-if you don’t have a funny bone, please see a doctor before reading this post)

Why musky fishermen are much, much, much better than trout fishermen

1) Trout sip dead bugs, muskies smash trout
2) A trout fisherman will opine, oo, I fooled a six year old trout with my wooly buggah, a musky fishermen may tell you he hammered a twenty-five year old musky with a sledge
3) A trout fisherman will boast about his thousand dollar fly rod and reel; a musky fisherman will wonder what’s the big deal, that’s the cost of one wishmaster lure
4) A trout fisherman will tout the fine art of tying a delicate fly, a musky fisherman will look at his box of hand carved and laboriously painted lures, hand tied and poured spinnerbaits, and think, what a dill hole
5) A trout fisherman will wax poetic about the craft of carefully tip-toeing up on the shy wiley trout, the musky fisherman will keep quiet about the 4.25 mph speed troll with the lure 8.65 feet behind the boat at 2.124 inches below the prop wash that fooled the aforementioned musky
6) Trout are supposed to be clever, a 30 year old musky with a brain the size of a dogs is a genius by comparison
7) Trout fishermen wear frilly jackets with patches, too many pockets, and a lot of stuff attached that look suspiciously like jewelry, musky men wear clothes.
8 ) Trout fishermen go on long trips to the mountains with other men, musky fishermen, er, well, we go fishing too

Okay, I think you get the idea, musky fishermen do rule and trout fisherman are but pale imitations of our manly, rugged, 007 handsome selves.

Feel free to contribute your reason why your style of fishing is far, far superior to that of the sadly negligibly gifted and endowed trout fisherman.

Well I have spent hours researching on my high-end computer with chrome front bezel and rain sensing wipers and have concluded that the only thing musky are good for is fertilizer. :P

Just posting with my sense of humour.
seriously though hope the person was joking with you about trout being better than musky. If fished properly both are fun and both proly a whole lot more fun on a fly.

Oh yeah rainbow trout taste a lot better than musky
I think MuskyMatt might know this.

Well, a good post yes... But even though I love to chase the mighty Essox, mind you I'll never put em down, the certain "Kings" of the water, but I'll give up Trout if you can slay a 50"er on a 3lb leader

Heck I'll even giver up if you can do a 30"er in low water, with a 6lb main line and a 3lb lead to see what kinda look you have when the fish says not likely

Well,

Nuff said :P

I must admit though, I have only attended a few Muskies Ca meeting in the past and I know you guys "Members and Volenteers" have done some great work in the past, present, and for sure the future!!!

Though for those who down-play, not to say any do, but if you think the "Trout Guys and Gals" Don't offer the same.....

Here is a few shot's to see we care too

I love it, just one of my lures is bigger or heavyer then all their flys LOL

Hey Joco it's just a very nice baby muskie. I like the way it looks like it was spray painted that morning.
