TEAM BANDAIDE wins the assault on the Jock

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

TEAM BANDAIDE wins the assault on the Jock

Post by Mr.J. »

So we had our assault on the Jock and no pink boots were hurt in the making of this production.

The weather was great, sunny and hot and a bit windy at times.

Joco, YakAttack, Bowzog, gwright, the 2 J's, and Team Bandaide all hit the water paddling.

The bait fish population is healthier than I had ever seen it before so I was pretty excited thinking we would be getting into some good fish that day.

Seems everyone had a hard time raising any fish but team bandaide did very well, bring on the pics lads....

Here's kpin and placide

And YakAttack's assault on the rock bridge

Thanks to everyone who came out, we'll get them next time.

That's great guys. Looks like a lot of fun for sure. I have not personally done any "canoe" fishing, mostly in bigger boats or from shore, but this type of thing looks like a true "adventure". I know the Jock holds some great fish, but what I've heard there are only very particular spots that actually do produce. The trick is the find those spots. Even I don't know where they are, but they are apparently there somewhere.

Well Team Band Aide did very well Boating 5 fish.
The bite was slow but as it got latter in the afternoon, the fishing really picked up. All 5 fish were caught within in hour.
All in all A very Hot and Humid day on the water.

didn't take a picture of my second pike, it was a small snot rocket that actually hit my lure as I was pulling it out of the water.

Thanks for suggesting this outing Mr. J.
As for our team named, it came into play again as both K-Pin and I had a few bandages on by the end of the day.

Nothing like a real trek aboard the Red Rocket

I was trolling a topraider and due to the calm current I didn't have to weed it too often, nothing like getting a smash while trolling in a canoe

I bet we could talk the lads into another go at it, I know I would in a heart beat and I'll offer you a Red Rocket ride first.

I knew they were coming into some nice fish because I could hear them hollering about it :D

Thanks for posting the pics - had fun even though I was skunked.

Someone pick a date then....

I'm not 100% sure but it looks like my weekends are free

I'm off to camping today and will be back Thursday, this weekend is totaly booked but after that I am good to go.

We'll launch for the same spot or a different one?

So how does the 25th - 26th work? I think I am free that weekend

I'm up for another outing for sure.

It was a simply gorgeous day! Though there were moments of intense heat that reached meltdown proportions.

I fished the same lure all day nonstop and Placide, did the old, change up=what the hell do these fish actually want damnit?! :x

I think he used every possible combo in shape, colour and size but to no avail.

After a few hours trying to figure out the pattern.....STRIKE :!: :D

All 5 fish were hit in that, pretty well 30-40 min. period.

Then.............SHUTDOWN, again.

Twas odd really.

But who the hell cares?!?!?!? A great day with great company and a few nice fish on a beauty summers day.

Does it get any better? Ummmm, of course it does....cold ones afterwords......

OK.....NOW....Does it get any better than that?

I hate to be a bother but as someone who loves fishiungand cares about the fish i have to say that 2 of th pics with pikes the fish are being held incorrectly and to insur life after releasing them you have to hold them right youby removing as littel slime butt possible as that is what prtects themfom diease and avoid touchig there gills gran the jaw dont touch the red stuff
