Hey All!! :D

Leaving Saturday for a week at Fernleigh Lodge on Kashwakamak :D , just wonderin' if anybody has any "secrets" they'd like to share?? :wink: :wink:

I know some of you were up there a while back & the weather wasn't so great, but maybe others have some fonder memories to share?? :shock: :lol:

Any & All "Tips/Advice" will be much appreciated, I'll try to give a "Report" on my return. Thanx!! Take Care, Cyber Out!! 8) 8)

just got back from there, ncie water for sure... loads of fish!~ same techiniques you use here will work there.

Have no worries!!!!!......Fishing is good there.....if this is your first trip to Fernleigh, Kevin will personally take you out and show you many spots on the lake.

I found that trolling the west shore from the lodge south to be very productive. We were hooking up with bass, walleye, and pike.

I will give you one of my secrets for that lake.....Black and silver jointed rapalas (J9). Bring lots of them!!!!!

I have a map of it if you need one, let me know

Walleye in the evening, 20 - 30 feet of water, at least that is where they were in July. The end of the lake where Fernleigh is located is more shallow, you might need to make it more towards mid lake if walleye is your target.

From what I heard, great pike fishing up at the Frenleigh end.

Hiya Fish Coop!! :)

This was my post from last summer. :wink: I didn't follow-up w/ a report because we didn't catch anything the whole week outta Lake Kash. :shock: :shock:

It's definitely a beautiful lake and we just seemed to hit a bad spell, nobody seemed to be gettin' anything to speak of. :cry: :cry:
The highlight o' the week was the little side trip we took to 'Mannerheim'(sp.?) Lake directly across from Fernleigh Lodge. :wink:
It was about a 15 min. walk w/ minimal gear & paddles, there was an old tinny already over there, and we proceeded to 'play' w/ the LMB's for a few hours. It was a blast & sorta made up fer gettin' 'skunked' on Kash. Check it out if time permits!! :wink: 8)

I smoked some good size smallies on silver / black top husky jerks. spinnerbaits did the job on the pike. Tell Kevin I said hi,
