Fishfinder powered by Minn Kota motor?

My boat came with a Minn Kota 24 V bow mount trolling motor that has a sonar transducer built into the prop bulb. It was new old stock and the dealer didn't have the manual for it any more. The question: If I was to get a fishfinder for the bow (to hook up to the MK transducer) would it be powered by the trolling motor power or would it still need to be wired in somewhere else for power?

Sixstringhack: You will need an adapter cable to go from your trolling motor to the unit. That is to connect the transducer. You also will need to hook your fishfinder up to its own power supply. The cable from the trolling motor are for the transducer only.
